Kata is the most comfort-loving person in the world. Especially when it comes to everyday wear. But clothing and style have always been important to her and a way for her to express herself. She needed to find a solution that would let her look put-together and stylish, but still feel really comfortable.
The things Kata wanted to see changed in tights were:
Material: It should look high-quality and feel really soft against the skin. Rough or stiff material would be a total no-go.
Fit: The gusset should rise high enough, and the tights should stay exactly where they’re supposed to.
Waistband: Everyone knows that uncomfortable feeling when the narrow waistband of tights digs deep into your stomach. It doesn’t look flattering and doesn’t feel comfortable at all. Not a winner. The waistband should be soft but firm enough to stay in place and provide gentle support, but above all, it should be comfortable.
Waist height: The top edge of the waistband should always rise to the level of the bottom edge of the bra. This way, the fit is as flattering as possible, yet extremely comfortable. An extra-high waist allows you to get the most out of the product in a whole new way, without compromising on comfort.
(Believe it or not) Center seam: A seamless version of the briefs was also made with the same high waist, and thankfully it was. The first time I bent over, the seamless waistband had rolled all the way down to a single roll at my lower abdomen. For comfort, a center seam is a must when the product has such a high waist. It provides the reinforcement with the support it needs so it doesn’t roll down awkwardly.
Sustainability: Since tights are a product that doesn’t last forever, it was important to Kata to always use recycled materials in production whenever possible. However, this was done without compromising on quality or comfort.
It took many prototypes and countless discussions with factories before we found a partner with whom everything just clicked.
When Kata slipped on a pair of 40th HEAVEN tights for the first time, she knew they had finally succeeded in creating something every tights wearer had been longing for.
Even though you shouldn’t rank your children, 40th HEAVEN will always be Kata’s favorite. Tights don’t get any more comfortable than this. These are simply the BEST.
